I've seen these two teams battle it out several times and have say except for the last CT when Germany sent a weak side, they've been close everytime. Rotterdam CT proved to be a great game - with Pakistan relying on Abbas yet again. Germany have always edged out Pakistan, they are such difficult opposition but Pakistan are improving so another good game coming up - hopefully with Pakistan winning.

its going to be a tough encounter ! first of all i dont understand why Pakistan has to face Ger in major tournaments in opening day,like 6 nation tournament,olympics and now this CT ? this side of Ger has few youngsters who are preparing for european cup and world cup? so lets see what happens ,this is home ground and crowd so Pakistan should take full advantage of it and also Sohail bhai put all your energy and efforts and dont miss any penalty!

world cup anniversery
it is nice to see pakistan winning a match specially on 4th of december, because 10 years ago on 4th december 1994, pakistan won the world cup under the captaincy of shahbaz.

not a surprise
The germans have only 2 of the olympic team here. The rest is a 2nd string team of youngsters who are being tried out and have almost no experience. The germans will do well to stay in the champions trophy.
