by Hockey Australia.

Australian's Ken Read, Murray Grime and David Gentles have each been appointed as officials to the prestigious Men's World Cup Hockey in Kuala Lumpur in 2002.

Ken Read has been appointed a Technical Officer, a role he performed for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Murray Grime and David Gentles have both been appointed as umpires. While Grime has experience officiating at this level, David Gentles' appointment represents his first inclusion on the WC/OG (World Cup/Olympic Games) Umpire list - hockey's most elite umpiring level.

Congratulations and best of luck to all three and particularly to David for his debut at a World Cup (/Olympic Games).

Congrats
Personal Congratulations to Mr Gentles. I've seen him twice in Jr Asia Cup and 5 nations in KL and I learned a lot from his umpiring. Full of Aura, Confidence and Athleticism. Looking forward to see him in the World Cup.
