Two Tests between the men's teams of South Africa and France, plus three warm-up matches involving the visiting team and the SA U21 team, will be the highlights of the "Festival of Hockey", due to take place in East London from April 16-24 next year.
Convenor of the organising committee and retired Border Hockey president, Kevan McDougall, has called on most of the expertise utilised when East London hosted a number of Tests between South Africa and England in 1998.
The wheels of action, in most instances, have already been set in motion, with McDougall assuring at a committee meeting recently that he is bent on making the festival something to be remembered.
The French team will arrive in East London on Saturday April 16 and play three warm-up matches against SA U21 on the Monday, Tuesday and Thursday following their arrival.
The first Test will be played on Saturday April 23, followed by the second Test the next day.
All matches will be scheduled as day games, with times to be finalised closer to the time.
Both teams will travel to Port Elizabeth on April 25, where the third and fourth Tests will be played on April 26 and 28.
