COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Argentina's Daniela Maloberti scored four goals in leading her team to a 7-0 win over the USA junior national squad in the semifinals of the Chile Four Nation Tournament in Santiago.

With the loss, the U.S. under-21 team falls to 0-3-1 at the tournament and will face Canada in the 3rd-4th place game on Sunday. Undefeated Argentina will meet Chile for the tournament championship.

Argentina jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead as Maloberti scored her first goal at the 23rd minute to give Argentina a 2-0 advantage. With the game well in hand and Argentina holding a 4-0 edge, Maloberti added the final three goals of the game late in the second half at the 47th, 62nd and 64th minute.

The way I see it, this trip was a wasted one. Think about it. What U21 college players will be even AVAILABLE in September 2005? It's going to be another high-school all-star team.

Why dont you.......
Check your facts very carefully. As far availability goes I am led to believe that MOST collegiete coaches have agreed to let their kids be selected if the US qualifies for the JWC. I know that the kids that I coach will be allowed to miss our preseason, practices and games in order for them to compete at JWC.

to why dont you and capn moe.......
they have to qualify for the JWC before anyone can start worrying.....that should be the number one concern right now! because if this country is going to take a step forward in the hockey world it needs to start with the younger teams! best of luck to them!
