atleast he can run with the ball, unlike most of the players.... he plays exciting hockey. he probably gets the most short corner. canada plays a boring style... pass, pass, pass, pass and some more pass... we have no dribbling skills.. our one and only dribbler is taken out of the team... what a shame...

Is he even eligible for a card? ie Canadian citizen? He didn't go to one event last year due to status.

He is eligible. And had been on a tour to south Africa. He showed signs of brilliance. Although fitness was an issue!

Perhaps because his style of play is so different, that selectors feel he doesn't gel with the other players as much. Just a thought.

Gubbar
He is not a citizen. End of story. He shouldn't have been carded last year. You'll notice that he only played in exhibition matches in SA. He didn't play in any FIH sanctioned matches. Reason? Because he couldn't as he's not a Canadian citizen in any form.
