Dutch captain Jeroen Delmee completed his 300 matches in the international hockey when he appeared in the Champions Trophy match against Pakistan at the National Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday.

“It is a memorable feeling to reach 300 matches and Iam delighted on this occasion,” he said after the match. He said it was good to see his team winning an important match and he was happy to be part of the game. He said he started his career in 1993 and felt excited to have such a long association with the game.

He said the joy of representing his country in 300 matches would be doubled if his side win the title. “For me the most important task is to motivate the side to give their best in the tournament and to retain the title and I am confident that we will be achieving this goal,” he said. app
