International Hockey Federation tournament director Bijoron Iceberg, who hails from Sweden, has said he could confidently claim there was no law and order problem in Pakistan and the tournament organizers had made foolproof arrangement to ensure safety and security of players.
He regretted Australia's refusal to attend the event due to security reasons but said Australia had the right to do so.

In a special talk with Online on Saturday, he appreciated Pakistan's Hockey Federation for efforts to make the tournament a success.

He said the National Hockey Stadium looked more beautiful than it was in 1994.

Iceberg said Pakistan was the home of Champions' Trophy Tournament because the PHF hosted the maiden tournament in Karachi in 1978.

He said Pakistan had the honour to host 11 of 26 Champions Trophy events and this showed the confidence the IHF officials had in the capabilities of PHF officials.
