Experienced Guildford striker Danny Hall is one of four England players who have confirmed their international retirement on Wednesday.
The Great Britain international, who won 236 combined caps for GB and England and scored 79 goals, has called it a day after more than nine years at the top level.
Reading defender Tom Bertram, who took a break from international hockey in 2002 only to return to play for GB at the Olympics, also departs the international scene after 112 combined caps.
Jason Collins and Jon Bleby have also ended their association with England, although the latter's was all but confirmed when he pulled out of a squad to play Belgium last month.
"It is always sad to say goodbye to players, especially when they have given such service to their country, but, in turn, such retirements create opportunities for younger players," said England manager David Whittle.
