MATT DALY, who lives in Cippenham, will play his fourth senior game for England in Amsterdam today (Friday) but will still be without any international caps at this level.

Daly, 21-year-old Surbiton striker made his senior debut in the first of two training games with Belgium at Bisham Abbey earlier this month, scoring a late winner with his trademark drag flick in England's 2-1 win in the second match (after a 3-2 defeat in the opener).

This week he is in England's squad for two further unofficial tests - for which caps are not awarded - against Holland at their national hockey stadium in Amstelveen.

In July Daly played in the Junior European Nations Cup in Belgium where England Under-21s finished fourth.

As well as at U21 he has also appeared at England U16 and U18 level.

Daly told the Express: "It's an exciting time for me. It's nice to be furthering my England career at the higher level.

"The games in Holland will be a much tougher test than we faced against the Belgians as they'll be fielding their Champions Trophy squad," he said.

Aren't Brunel sponsored by Clintons Cards these days ? Apparently red ones seem popular allthough it seems no one is sure quite why they've been given one.
