Black Sticks beat Athens gold medallists Argentina 4-2 in warm up match for women's Champions Trophy hockey tournament

The Black Sticks have beaten Olympic gold medallists and host nation Argentina 4-2 in a warm up match to the women's Champions Trophy hockey tournament in Rosario.

The Black Sticks were down 2-1 after the first of three 20 minute periods.

The match proved an excellent run for New Zealand's three new strikers Karlie Maloney, Jessica Brewster and Honor Dillon.

Did argentina win the gold medal I don't think. I think it's NZ trying to talk up their womens team.

Dear ??? - the power of the Argentineans - no win versus this team needs to be talked up. Possible mis-quote as we are World Chamions, winning in Perth.
